Why you'd want to live in Barrhaven
Barrhaven was established in 1960 as part of a new suburban development spread through the Greenbelt National Capital. Mel Barr owned the area at the time and was chosen to develop the land that was later named after him. Barrhaven is affectionately called Far Haven or The Haven because of its location so far south in the city. Over three quarters of the residents of Barrhaven are English speaking with a very small population speaking French or another language. via ottawa
